Frequently Asked Questions

Permanent jewelry is a custom sized chain that is hand-welded together, eliminating the need for a clasp. As a result, it remains on the wearer at all times & can be comfortably worn every day for as long as you prefer.
This type of jewelry commonly applies to bracelets, anklets or necklaces.
-
This depends on your activity level, personal lifestyle & maintenance. As permanent jewelry will stand the test of time & is designed for everyday wear, it is not invincible. It is still fine jewelry that needs to be treated with care.
Regular cleaning & avoiding prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals will keep your jewelry looking its best.
The materials I carry are highly resistant to tarnishing & can last for years with proper care— so feel free to rinse off or enjoy a swim without worry!
Also— don’t mistake tarnish for buildup!

Yes, for any reason that your jewelry needs to be removed, this can be done by cutting carefully at the welded site with wire cutters, or even a good pair of scissors. Save your jewelry for re-welds!

No! The spark generated is not of high temperature, allowing for a quick & safe application.
Prior to the welding process, a leather patch is placed underneath the jewelry that acts as a barrier from your skin.
-
Once you have selected your chain, the welding process typically takes about 10 minutes, along with sizing for the perfect fit.
Additional time may be needed for any add-ons, replacing brittle welds or closing the tiniest rings. Quality check is performed to ensure a solid & secure weld.
As you get to choose where we meet, the appointment duration shown in my bookings includes setup & breakdown time for in-home/mobile services. In-store appointments will be quicker since setup is already complete.

Yes! Travelers are permitted to wear fine jewelry through airport security without issue. This will not trigger the metal detectors.

Gold-filled is a great alternative to solid gold. It involves a layer of gold pressure bonded over a base metal, containing a minimum of 5% gold by weight. This layer is significantly thicker compared to gold-plated options. This attribute ensures that the jewelry remains durable & of high quality, while still being affordable! While it looks & feels just like solid gold, this can last an extended period of time with proper care.
-
Those who have allergies to nickel or any types of metal should avoid getting permanent jewelry. This also applies to those who have a pacemaker, as the electronic device generates small electrical impulses.
-
As long as you still have your jewelry, I’d be happy to provide a complimentary fix of any purchases made from me.
If it did not break at the welded site, this will not be refunded or replaced as sales are final but we can definitely come up with a solution for you to love your jewelry all over again!

Unfortunately, all sales are final once the chain is cut & welded. I am unable to replace any jewelry but please contact me so that we may find the best solution!
